Take Your Drunken Ass Home

A release party for the new CD was held on April 13, 2002 at the House of Blues, New Orleans.  Take Your Drunken Ass Home was much anticipated by fans all over the world and the party definitely exhibited their enthusiasm.

The album was met with rave reviews from local critics.  The mixture of old favorites, such as "Tell It Like It Is", and new, original material, along with club favorites, makes this album greatly enjoyable and fun.  The following tracks are featured on the Take Your Drunken Ass Home CD:

1.  Because I Got High

2.  Champagne & Reefer

3.  Nursery Rhymes

4.  Dip My Dipper

5.  Meet Me With Your Black Drawers On

6.  I'll Never Love Like That Again

7.  Baby's Love

8.  Everyday Dreamer

9.  Built For Comfort

10. Strokin' (Club Version)

11. Tell It Like It Is

12. Take Your Drunken Ass Home

The title track was inspired by an experience in Flynn's Den, a club Big Al played at.  A drunk patron didn't want to leave at closing time, so Carson and his bass player started making up lyrics and riffs about the situation.  You could even say that "Take Your Drunken Ass Home" has become an anthem of barmaids and bartenders everywhere when dealing with drunks that just won't leave.

The song was included on Mardi Gras Records' Super Mardi Gras anthology in 2000 and became the most popular Mardi Gras song of the new millennium.
